<span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">A biologist within the Endangered Species Act Section 7 Program of the Protected Resources Division conducting, implementing, monitoring and tracking section 7 consultations under the Endangered Species Act for species listed under the ESA in the Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office area.</span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">  </span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">These consultations involve consideration and interpretation of complex biological and technical information and considering the impacts from federally authorized projects on sea turtles, marine mammals, Atlantic salmon and sturgeon.</span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">  </span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Facilitate implementation of conservation programs and assist coordinate implementation of ESA Section 7 throughout GARFO. Work effectively with other federal agencies, including other intra-NOAA Divisions such as Habitat Conservation Division and Northeast Fisheries Science Center, state agencies, conservation organizations, researchers and interested and affected parties to obtain information on species and activities.</span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">   </span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">  </span></p>

<span style="font-size:9.5pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif"> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;background-image:initial;background-repeat:initial"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Experience applying the Endangered Species Act (ESA) section 7 principles, practices and theories of biology, skill in obtaining relevant quantitative and qualitative scientific information, skill in conducting independent review of scientific and technical information and assessing the validity and appropriateness of the information, ability to work well on teams and collaborate on projects, skill in developing management recommendations to protect threatened and endangered species and their critical habitat, skill in written communication in order to complete scientific assessments and analysis required under section 7 of the ESA, skill in oral communication and experience effectively collaborating with a wider variety of audiences to complete the scientific assessments and analysis required in the section 7 of the ESA.</span></p>
