The Namibian Dolphin Project (NDP) are looking for volunteers from January
to May 2016.

The Volunteer Programme is aimed at students and graduates looking for long
term placements (minimum 2 months) to develop analytical and field skills
as part of an active research group based in Walvis Bay, Namibia.

Volunteers will be directly involved in the day to day running of the
research station including data input and processing, public outreach and
education. Volunteers will also be involved in ongoing field work including
small-boat surveys, land-based surveys and tour boat surveys. Volunteers
will also get the opportunity to partake in post mortem examinations of any
stranded cetaceans or marine turtles. During their time with the NDP,
volunteers are encouraged to develop their own research projects with a
view to continuing these projects as part of their own studies.

There is a cost of US$ 1000 per month which covers accommodation, food,
training and airport transfer from Walvis Bay airport. Please send a letter
of motivation and a CV to nam.dolphin.edu at gmail.com using the subject
headline of “NDP Volunteer 2016”.
