Conference in Bangor next year is *THIS FRIDAY*!!
The conference will be held at Bangor University between the *21st and the

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Interdisciplinary Research’, and
two workshops will take place as part of the conference. Firstly, *Gemma

and marine renewables. The workshop will cover a number of topics including
particular species and industries of importance, environmental impact
assessments, conflicts of interest and mitigation measures, among others.

will hold a workshop on the importance of interdisciplinary research and
collaborations between institutions with varying fields of expertise using
the ‘cork screw seals’ problem around the UK as a case study.
In addition, keynote speakers working in marine sciences are also invited
to the conference. This year, we have arranged three guest lectures from *Dr.
Peter Evans* (Director of SeaWatch), *Dr. Thomas Stringell* (Natural
