*WAZE of the Future: Advancements in Wildlife, Aquatic, Zoo and Exotic
Saturday, September 13th, 2014 – Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at
Tufts University, North Grafton, MA
This year’s WAZE symposium will cover a variety of topics on developments
in wildlife, aquatic, zoo and exotic medicine and husbandry. We will
discuss the issues involved in keeping wildlife in captivity, explore the
medical management of animal populations in the wild, and learn about the
care required by exotic species kept as pets.
Wetlabs will give students and veterinarians a chance to gain hands-on
experience with exotic animal physical exams, exotic animal hematology,
turtle shell repair, and comparative anatomy.

Each lecture session will be followed by a brief period for questions and
This symposium qualifies for 6 hours of continuing education credit. Please
note whether you will be attending for credit when registering.
*This is a “Green” event! Please bring your own mug, water bottle, plate
and* *silverware!* We will have facilities for rinsing your things as well
as compostable plates and utensils for those who are unable to bring their
own. Please help us keep this event environmentally friendly!
