Scientists from Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the nation, and beyond will gather in Anchorage to inform each other about their research in the marine ecosystems of the Arctic, the Bering Sea and the Gulf of Alaska.

A broad spectrum of ocean science
Plenary and poster sessions will feature the latest research on climate, oceanography, lower trophic levels, the benthos, fishes and invertebrates, seabirds, marine mammals, local and traditional knowledge, and socioeconomic research.

Colleagues, students and mentors connect
Word continues to spread about the Symposium's reputation as a gathering place to share innovative Alaska marine research. Students in ocean science connect with mentors and meet authors of the literature that they have been studying as part of their own work.

Free registration
Support from many sponsors allows registration to remain free of charge for attendees.

Abstract submission begins in October.
Abstract deadline is late November.
