[MARMAM] Manuscript Fast Track-New Automated Manuscript Review System for Aquatic Mammals

As of 10 January 2009, *Aquatic Mammals* has an automated manuscript review
system, Manuscript Fast Track.

With this system, authors submit manuscripts to:
*http://am.expressacademic.org/actions/author.php.*

Editors are notified of a new manuscript, assign reviewers from a pool of
reviewers with known specialities, and are notified when reviews are
available.

Authors may check the status of their manuscript at any time, read reviews
immediately, access a check of their Literature Cited format, receive
comments by the Editors, and are notified whether the manuscript is
accepted.

Since using this system the average review time for a manuscript is 18 days.
