I know many of us were looking forward to being in Toulouse right now. 
The Board has decided to reschedule the OMG XXI conference for 2022 
(more information TBA), but in the meantime we need to hold elections. 
If you are a dues paying society member and did not receive Paul's 
message below, please check your junk/spam folder or contact Paul to 
ensure he has your current contact information.

Dear Durrellians,

You will be happy to know that plans for OMG XXI are still in progress. 
In order to make sure that all participants feel safe to travel to 
Toulouse and enjoy their stay in Europe the executive board has decided 
to postpone the conference to 2022.

But we shall meet before?at least virtually! We invite all ILDS members 
to join our Zoom meeting on June 24th at 2.30pm (Paris time) for a 
plenary session. We shall read a few poems by Durrell, listen to our 
emerging scholars applying for the first William Godshalk Prize for New 
Durrell Scholarship, discuss the organization of OMG XXI in Toulouse and 
vote for the new society officers who will serve for the next 2 years.

You will be sent an invitation and password via email and I hope that 
many of you will be able to join us.

Good to hear from you, Sharbani!

Yes, we'll relaunch the CFP for the conference once the new dates have 
been finalized. There is already an excellent slate of papers that were 
accepted, and I hope that everyone who had planned to be in Toulouse 
right now will be able to attend in 2022 -- new proposals are welcome as 
well.

It's too early to know yet, but I would anticipate a similar date due to 
the academic schedule of Universit? Toulouse II. It's a lovely city to 
visit.
