Hello, I am hoping someone may be able to help. Back in the 1960's I read the book at college and a section stuck in my mind. It described creepers growing up old structures and supporting them as a metaphor for the newer generations supporting their elders. Can some one Tell me where to find the passage? 

I would like to use it in a funeral oration, my own sadly, to encourage my children to support and help their mother (and others).
