Everything from subscriptions to password retrieval is fairly elementary. If you can type your email address, you can make it work! Sorry to say the remark of Mr Gifford is making offence to Greek people. We are not children. He has written this because we said that our request to receive messages was not adhered to and now he replies in a tone that says Greek people cannot write their own name. Anyway we have 3 times made the request and nothing happens so maybe the system doesn't work or Mr Gifford has a reason private why he doesn't want us to receive messages. We know that there is a bothways badness with him and Mr Pine but that is not a good reason to interrupt with the work of the Durrell Library of Corfu - me and the associates who keep it running. Very soon we will have our website on the public and we will not behave like Mr Gifford toward our colleagues in the Durrell world, Lawrence or Gerald. If anyone objects to that, do let me or Charles Sligh know, but this is standard practice to prevent moderated listservs from becoming cluttered. If the online form proves problematic or personally objectionable for whatever reasons (http://www.lawrencedurrell.org & "Join the listserve"), the following commands can be sent directly to from your email address -- place the command in the subject line (leave the body of the message blank, and be sure to use your intended email and not an alias): subscribe unsubscribe help info I hope that calms all worries and answers all questions, at least for a time.
