Richard, good point.  All that stuff about the Quintet and particle physics sounds like Durrell going off the deep end, as he was wont to do.  I wonder, however, who would bother to forge Durrell?  He’s not James Joyce.  It’s suspicious that the provenance is apparently unknown.  The font on the typewriter can be compared to that of authentic letters, assuming Durrell only had one typewriter.  What about the French?  Is it accurate?
