Welcome Wendy. I am sure recipients of this list would be very interested in your views on Larry, man and author. I never met him, but have read nearly all his work, being particularly fond of the island books and his poetry. I am a school teacher, poet and sometimes freelancer. A couple of years ago I wrote a documentary for ABC Radio National called Lawrence Durrell and Henry Miller: a Wartime Correspondence which was replayed recently. I live in Sydney Australia, the cultural epicentre of the cosmos, so if you are ever in town we could, if you like, meet up for Durrellian chat.

Thanks to Larry who took me to LA I also lived at Anais Nins house with her husband (number two): Rupert Pole. I found your thread from 5 years ago and thought I might say hello.

(but usually in English) I am currently writing a play for Gerard Depardieu in French for Paris theatre and I have completed one recently for Juliette Binochet about Camille Claudel.
