This message was in my inbox, and I thought it might be a compelling issue for many people on the ILDS listserv. Comparative Literature programs across North America have been hit hard over the past decade, and the University of Toronto is one of the few remaining in Canada now. If you want to give your support, I'd invite you to do so. The essay is a brief history of the Olympia Press, and, no, Durrell is not featured, though he is there (27). Also, if you are not conversant with the work of Patrick Kearney, you may wish to have a look. I have not yet looked. Though, again, I will. He will give it away, if he can. I figure the title is fair game. Ardy W. L.
