[ilds] Not to be a pooper

I am a dues-paying member of the ILDS. I attended the past conference in Victoria and enjoyed it very much. Moreover, I see nothing wrong with voicing my opinion and questioning the choice of the next meeting in New Orleans. That sultry city may be convenient for academics in the U.S. and Canada, that constituency of 50% or more, according to a recent statistic, but it is not for other "international" elements, in particular those attracted to the landscape Lawrence Durrell so vividly described, namely, the Mediterranean and its environs.
Happy Thanksgiving to all, even those not in the U.S.
