[ilds] Not to be a pooper

Those who are complaining about the New Orleans conference appear neither to
have attended past conferences (including those in Greece and France and
Egypt), nor to have looked at the list of conferences on the Durrell Society
Web site.

For a list of past conferences, do consult www.lawrencedurrell.org.

Personally, I look forward to New Orleans as I have always done to our On
Miracle Ground meetings wherever they may be.

Anne

Both Rhodes and Sommieres (Avignon) have previously hosted the
conference (twice in Greece now). Rotating between North America and
Europe every 2 years works well for travel for all those involved and
prevents the ILDS from becoming too lopsided on either side of the
Atlantic -- New Orleans will certainly be exciting and promises a great
line-up of contributors, and unlike the Modernist Studies Association,
at least we haven't gone to Tulsa...

(actually, I rather like Tulsa.)

But, the break between classes is up....
