The second printing, a copy of which I have, recently bought at Shakespeare & Co., Paris, has the correct spelling.  It's interesting how the photograph on the front cover has little or no relevance to the Quartet.  But that's marketing for this day and time.

Jamie, I dont have the discussion group's e-mail details on this server, but can you alert the ILDS membership to the fact that Amazon.co.uk is unwittingly selling a collector's item, namely The Alexandria Quartet (Faber & Faber) by 'Lawrence Durrel' [sic] - that's what it says on the cover. At nine pounds sterling it will surely double its value very rapidly once F&F discover their error and recall the copies. I imagine Godshalk will want at least 10 copies.
