In the context of Derring do, Durrell and war and Durrell's antipathy towards the military, I have offered the the study of Gideon in particular and of Marine Venus in general. There appears to be no takers so far. Perhaps we are waiting for the big guns to decide?
I have offered text and context and await a response. If there is none, I must conclude that there will be the inevitable return to the Quartet. I have tried, over many months, with little success to broaden the discussion on this list, but find my submissions ignored or at best adressed by one or two individuals before disappearing. Perhaps others feel this way?
