[ilds] Durrell's Males priggish

Jay Gatsby's obsession with that flapper Daisy and a distant green light -- why do those traits make him more appealing than Darley and his Justine and the mirage of Alexandria?  Seems to me we need a woman's point of view re Darley and his problems.
