[ilds] Stendhal and Wyndham Lewis

Can someone answer Sumantra's question about Stendhal?  Long time ago, he also asked about Durrell basing Pursewarden's characterization on Wyndham Lewis, which I also heard somewhere.  No one answered that question either.
